Company History

Elliott Heating and Cooling, Inc. began more than 30 years ago as a sheet metal contractor, called Elliott Sheet Metal, Inc. The company spent the first 10 years developing at 1006 East Portage. From East Portage, we moved to a former gas station located at 562 East Spruce Street, Where we remain in operation today. Over the past 20 years at this location, we have expanded our facility three times, twice adding on to the shop and once building the upper office level. We expanded our operation to Marquette in 1972 and to Traverse City in 1980. During the early 1980's Elliott Sheet Metal employed over 100 persons and was an industry leader known throughout the state. HVAC jobs such as, Mead Paper and Quinesec Mine, brought our reputation to the forefront. As times changed, and large-scale construction began to decline, we closed the Traverse City operation and operated completely out of the Sault and Marquette branches. In 1992, we changed the name of our Sault branch to Elliott Heating & Cooling, Inc. We felt that this name would be more representative of the services we provide. Now, as we point ourselves toward the future, let us not forget the success we have experienced, the pride that helped us reach this stage in our company to its present position, Mr. William G. Elliott. Let us all attempt to continue representing this company in a manner consistent with its past standards of quality and excellence.
